Reporting to the Décor Manager you are a vital part of the design team. You are a driven, self-motivated superstar who exudes high energy and enthusiasm. The Décor Designer must be a creative genius and have superior design skills to be able to take a small idea and turn it into something magical. You will oversee the conception, planning and hands on execution of the overall look for special affairs so it meets and EXCEEDS our client needs. Décor Designers need excellent writing skills to create quotes, fill out event work orders, reports and other necessary paperwork. Décor Designer needs outstanding planning and designing abilities to formulate layouts; specify colors, style, theme, material details, visual balance, proportion, and the list goes on. You will need excellent customer service skills and be a talented presenter to showcase your design concepts for approval, alongside with creating floor plans, sketches, photos/story boards, mock ups and other key visuals to help express and sell your vision. Your execution skills need to be top-notch in order to bring the vision to reality as our décor designers are hands on at setup and guide the team to “PERFECTION”. You will need great leadership and management skills when on-site to create teamwork, delegate tasks and foster efficiencies.

The successful candidate will divide their time in the office by participating in business development, meeting clients, researching and creating visual storyboards as well as working with budgets for corporate or social events. The other part of your time will be more hands-on helping with setups, leading the operations team in achieving the vision for the event, communicating with the on-site clients to make sure their expectations are met. This role requires an individual who is very organized, a quick learner, with an excellent memory and keen attention to detail.

  • Relatable experience 2+ years (Sales, Event Design, Interior Design)
  • Post-Secondary education (Preferably Interior Design)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Easily adapt to new computer programs
  • Must have “hands-on” creative flare
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Attention to detail (especially with paperwork)
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Flexible to tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
