With an eye on excellence and a commitment to serve our customers’ event related needs, Glow has evolved from a small sign business into a multi-division company with over 30 full-time employees.
At Glow, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, a unique and customizable product offering and creating options tailored to your specific event or advertising needs. 2017 marks our 20th year in business, our offices in Moncton and Halifax, as well as a sign franchise in Sydney has enabled us to become an event industry leader throughout the Maritimes!

Glow Parties started as primarily a sign business, creating and renting the fluorescent signs that are now seen throughout Halifax and the surrounding area. Through the years, we have expanded our inventory and products to include banners, and most recently, new mobile LED Signs that are now available for rent or purchase.
With the sign business up and running, thoughts soon turned to expansion and product diversification. Identifying a market for event and amusement rentals, our second business line developed and Glow Signs became Glow Promotions (later rebranding as Glow Parties).
Glow has evolved from offering single equipment rentals to full blown event productions, ranging from corporate family picnics, team builders, casinos and our amazing Winter Wonderland!
After identifying a need in the marketplace, Glow Parties Costume & Party Superstore was launched in 2007. The retail division consisted of a one-stop year-round shop fully stocked with the latest in costumes, accessories, props, fireworks and theme kits as well as a balloon depot with Certified Balloon Artists. This division itself has seen an evolution since its inception almost 10 years ago. We now operate 3 Halloween Superstores in metro (Halifax, Dartmouth, Lower Sackville) during September and October. Our party supplies and balloon center are available at our main location year round.
In 2011 we decided it was time to round out our event rental division with the acquisition of WOW Factor Event Design & Decor Rental! This division has grown leaps and bounds within the last 5 years and we have proven to be one of the most sought after décor teams in the city!
Glow’s inflatable amusements, rides, and games have been a staple at corporate team builders, festivals, and school spring fairs regionally for many years. With the addition of our Halloween superstores and acquisition of our full-service décor and design division (Wow Factor), it was time to restructure.
Glow Parties & Wow Factor has evolved once again and is now Glow the Event Store! Glow the Event Store encompasses all of our divisions and truly allows our team to better serve our clients. Our sales team offers a unique concierge experience, enabling our customers to secure everything needed for their event, from tables & linens to amusements & games.
Another exciting change due to our remarkable growth is the relocation of Glow the Event Store’s Halifax location!
Glow the Event Store is now located at 461 Windmill Rd, Dartmouth. Our new home is centrally located, minutes from Burnside and houses a beautiful new showroom, our warehouse and head office. All of Glow’s departments are now conveniently situated under one roof to better suit our clients, unify our divisions and offer an even larger selection of products and services.
Despite many changes, some things remain constant, Glow’s commitment to safety and exceptional service! We pride ourselves in attracting and retaining talented staff, who work diligently to ensure events are executed safely, efficiently and professionally. Our hands-on & classroom training program is designed to produce a well-qualified team to get the job done!
